| Ellen Mitchell Frydman - I would never buy a dog from anyone else! Steve's knowledge of breeding and breed history leaves no reason to go anywhere else. After purchasing my beautiful German/german shepherd, any questions I had were never a problem for Steve. I asked many questions about training and nutrition and was always met with patience, guidance, great knowledge and even humor! My dog is now 5 years old and Steve and I still talk on a regular basis and anytime I have a question, it is still not a problem. I have had the pleasure of seeing his work with the "working dog" and he has trained some amazing animals. He is also great at teaching and getting his point across in a no nonsense fashion. |

| Scott J. Dere - This is really a letter of thanks. The fact is I have gotten Annie from you 2 years ago. But, she has become exactly the Dog and family member you said she would be. The fact is when I came to see you first, I was really intent on getting a Doberman. And after my second visit, you convinced me on how smart and affectionate, and how powerful this animal would be. Annie is an incredible animal. She really should have been some kind of rescue dog with her abilities to find things. Her sense of smell is just incredible.
This German Shepard has such a great temporment, it gets along with all my friends and family. Yet she is a dominant animal where ever I take her. She can back larger animals down and certainly demands respect from other people. Steve, thank you so much for taking me into your place, and of course bringing Annie into my life. She has brought nothing but happiness in me. We have bonded the way you knew we would which is priceless. Here is a recent photo of her. Be well and keep up the good work.

| Kenny & Mel - We are wanted to write both to thank you and to let you know how pleased we are with our puppies.
I must admit that I was skeptical about getting a German Shepherd, but after Kenny (my fiancé) saw one of your puppies and after you came so highly recommended, we decided to find out more.
When we first met you, your patience and ability to answer all of our questions (of which there were A LOT) really made us confident that we made the right choice. Now having the puppies, we are 100% we choice to the right breeder for us. Our puppies are smart, outgoing, playful and striking to look at; we constantly receive compliments about them.
Your obvious knowledge and commitment to both the betterment of the breed and the quality of your dog's owners is made obvious by how well adjusted the dogs already are in their new home, as well as their confidence in just about any new situation.
We would not only recommend your puppies to anyone looking for excellent, quality German Shepherd Dogs, but we would also recommend your training as well. Being able to receive both support and guidance through your instruction is not only invaluable, it helps us become better owners and in turn, the dogs benefit. | James and Jamie McMahon - We adopted a German shepherd puppy from Steve Simpkins on February 17, 2007 . The puppy was 7 weeks old when we picked her up. She was the only female from the Lion/Nikki litter.
We are very happy with our new puppy. Shania has already been to the vet twice and she is healthy and growing fast! In our home, she is comfortable, and very playful, and is doing well with training. (Hardly any accidents in the house) Shania is a very intelligent puppy and is learning quickly. She is very friendly around other dogs, children and people.
Steve was very helpful to us with any questions or concerns we had before and after taking our new puppy home. |

I found Steve Simpkins via a google search for ‘German Shepherd dog trainers.' We have two German show line pure bred Shepherds what were in need of some ‘serious training.' One was very fearful due to the amount of training she had prior to us taking possession of her in September 2006...the other is her daughter and we were concerned about her training and did not know where to turn. Most places I called were not GSD knowledgeable. Some said "sorry, you cannot come to watch a class." No one wanted our dogs or to deal with them.
We met with Steve over six weeks ago for an evaluation of our dogs. He felt the two year old had her spirit broken due to too much inappropriate training. The daughter (at the time, just under four months, was exhibiting behaviour like the mother. Steve KNEW right away that it was not the breeding. In fact he said that he would love to work with them. I was happy, as he let us sit in to watch for our very first class and to meet the girls.
Steve started with Ginger, the four month old first. We right away saw a very big difference after only one class. She used to back up due to fear...she would want to approach strangers, but would "pull back." Steve has made Ginger do a complete 360 degree turn around. She has built her confidence and is fearful of nothing. In fact, she has become a real live wire, and will be five months old on April 5, 2007 . She is doing VERY well...and we are so pleased with her ‘newfound aggression/confidence.'
Prada, our other import, has also made a lot of progress...Steve said that this was great, as she is feeding off of her daughter. Prada no longer backs away from people, runs away, is fearful of strangers and does not watch people's hands anymore. She was totally unapproachable when we got her in September of 2006, and now she is doing great. She no longer hides...she runs to protect us and stands her ground like her daughter. I never thought I would see this side of Prada, and I'm thrilled over it!
I never thought that both girls, in such a short time, could make these turnarounds. We are VERY pleased with Steve and his overall knowledge of dogs, titles, his breedings (which I have seen and am quite impressed with), various canine behaviours and even canine diet. I am very pleased to have met Steve, and we will continue working with him. He has been a lifesaver not only to us, but to our two girls. Steve is an asset to our girls and I highly recommend him without reservations. |
